THE PURPOSE OF THIS WEB SITE:

Is to help people develop a desire to read and search the Scriptures, to stimulate a love and taste for them, that it would become a life changing event.

The Bible tells us the Bereans "received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so." Acts 17:11.

Remember that importantly "God's Word is a Lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path." Psalm 119:105.

This same word of God is made real to our hearts by the Holy Spirit of God, without which there is no life, growth or holiness. Everyone should read it, meditate on it and obey it. It is my hope that the reader of these pages will actually open their Bible and read the passages in full context to receive the total teaching from God. The Bible is a non-negotiable Truth. The Bible contains all that one needs for a life that is fruitful and fully pleasing to God. Every drop of its water is crystal clear, perfectly refreshing, yet people choose to drink from other than God's Word, from cesspools and polluted waters.

THE SCRIPTURES-A LEARNING EXPERIENCE

A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

As you read the Scriptures it becomes a learning experience and could be the begining of a personal relationship with God. "Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father, but through me." John 14:6. We will see as we read the Bible how God has spoken to man down through the ages, and how He speaks to us today. "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Isaiah 55:11. When God speaks through His word and by His Holy Spirit, be assured, it will accomplish what God intends it to accomplish and prosper in His purpose.

HEAVEN-IT IS A REAL PLACE!

God makes it clear from His Word that Heaven is exclusive, "but there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lambs book of life." Rev.21:27. This fact should make any who read these words desire to search the Scriptures to find out if these things are so, and if so! Is your name included in the Lambs book of Life?

WISDOM-KNOWLEDGE-TRUTH

"O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!" Romans 11:33. "And ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free." John 8:32. The Scriptures are clear, the conclusion is clear, "the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto Salvation to everyone that believes.' Romans 1:16. The conclusion becomes even more clear when we in obedience seek God. "and ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13. "For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away; But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you." 1 Peter 1:24,25.

THE FOLLOWING ARE GENERAL FACTS OR HELPS

The death of Christ on Calvary is unique, as nothing like it ever happened before, or ever will be repeated, that God incarnate would be willing to die for man's sins. It was love beyond measure, grace beyond parallel, done for all, you and me inclusive. Isaiah called Jesus "The Mighty God." Isa. 9:16, God the Father addressed Him as God; "But to the Son He says; thy throne, O God, is forever and ever....Heb.l:8. John the Apostle said"....the word was God."John 1:1, then thirteen verses later he said,"....and the word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Paul spoke of Christ as the one "who is over all, the eternally blessed God." Rom., 9:5. "In Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." Col.2:9. The young Jew of Nazareth was the "Ancient of Days." No one but God could quell the stormy waters of the sea of Galilee with a word as Jesus did. Only He could raise a Lazarus after he had been dead four days. The Christ of Calvary is the one "who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him. "Zech. 12:1."

The Scriptures that are mentioned here on this web page are those that convey TRUTH'S that some wish were not a part of the Bible. These TRUTH'S convey God's plan for our lives and clearly points us to Jesus Christ. Here on these pages we see God's word spoken in simplicity, revealing truths that help each of us to understand God's Word, and being thus motivated to continue to search God's precious word for every morsel of truth. Paul expressely states "There be some that would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:7-9.

We see today so called believers, believing other than that contained in the Scriptures, in other words a perversion that is influenced by demons spreading Satan's lies. "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;" 1 Tim 4:1-2.

As we read this precious word of God, we need to stand firmly upon these Truth's no matter what anyone else thinks or believes. We need to remember that Christ alone died for our sins and He alone is our mediator, "for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." 1 Tim 2:5. Our prayers, sins, needs, need to be directed through our Lord Jesus Christ. Go to your Bible, most of the Scriptures have been quoted from the New Testament which is written in easy to read language, check all the Scriptures as quoted on these pages, and do as the Bereans did, they "searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so." Acts 17:11. We see this same subject working together with many other Scriptures, and making clear to us what God has revealed in His word, "But if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the just; and He is the propitation for our sins; and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world." 1 John 2:1-2. In other words Christ paid the full price for our sins. "For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified." Hebrews 10:14. By this one offering He made reparation for all sin for all time. We see in the Old Testament a similarity, "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:6. All our sin has been without any doubt laid on Christ, He paid the total price for our Salvation. Have you trusted Christ Alone for your Salvation? If not read "Eternity! Where will you spend it? and resolve this issue.

When it comes to truth there is no neutral ground, "The Gospel is the power of God unto Salvation to everyone that believeth;" Roman 1:16. The truth I refer to is eternal and spiritual reality pertaining to God. Through Christ's death on the cross, many...yea, ALL who will come to God by Christ Jesus...and except Him by faith are made righteous through His shed blood. God looks upon those who accept His Son as being just as just as Jesus is just, just as righteous as Jesus is righteous, and just as Holy as Jesus is Holy. When we are covered by his blood and hid with Christ in God, God does not see our sinful nature, but he sees the Blood that covers us and the divine nature that indwells us. The sin debt was paid in full by one offering and through the Blood of Jesus Christ. In John 19:30 Christ said, "it is finished" Jesus took your place and paid the full penalty for your sins. "If we walk in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from ALL SIN." 1 John 1:7. One of the most tremendous verses in the entire Bible, concerning the fact that all can be saved, is in the Old Testament; "ALL we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way and the Lord hath LAID ON HIM THE INIQUITY OF US ALL." Isaiah 53:6. This tremendous verse opens with a Big "Little" word "ALL". ALL are in the same boat...lost, doomed, hopeless, hell bound; but ALL are invited to come to Jesus, "And Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." John 6;37. Jesus said "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4. Repeating again what was said previously, the Bible is a non-negotiable Truth.

Begin a systematic reading of the Scriptures beginning with the Gospel of John. Upon completion of the Gospel of John, go to Matthew and read the entire New Testament. Remember daily to read the Bible, study it, memorize it, meditate on it, and above all obey it. Charles Spurgeon in speaking of the Bible stated: "This volume is the writing of the Living God; each letter was penned with an almighty finger; each word in it dropped from the everlasting lips; each sentence was dictated by the Holy Spirit...it is God's voice not man's; the words are God's words, the words of the Eternal, the Invisible, the Almighty, the Jehovah of this earth."

THE FOLLOWING SONG SHOULD BE A PROPER RESPONSE TO GOD AFTER WE ARE SAVED, READ ETERNITY FOR MORE FACTS RELATED TO SALVATION:

O JESUS, LORD AND MASTER, I GIVE MYSELF TO THEE; FOR THOU, IN THY ATONEMENT, DID'ST GIVE THYSELF FOR ME. I OWN NO OTHER MASTER, MY HEART SHALL BE THY THRONE, MY LIFE I GIVE, HENCEFORTH TO LIVE, O CHRIST, FOR THEE ALONE. --------Thomas O. Chisholm--------

A Battle Cry THE BIBLE ALONE, IN FAITH ALONE, IN GRACE ALONE, IN CHRIST ALONE, AND TO GOD ALONE BE THE GLORY

I. THE BIBLE ALONE: "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; but the word of our God shall stand forever." Isaiah 40:8. "But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the Word which by the gospel is preached unto you." 1 Peter 1:25. God speaks through His word, He answers all our questions if we would only read and heed. It is important that you study The Word of God, the Word tells us "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2 Tim. 2:15. "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matt.24:35. "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh." Proverbs 4:20-22. Jesus when talking to the woman at the well spoke thus: "whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again; But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up unto everlasting life." John 4:13-14. "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." John 15:7. "But there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you then that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." Gal.1:7-8. It is time to re-affirm the truth of God's Word. God said it! I believe it! that settles it!

II. IN FAITH ALONE: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1. "So then Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:27. "But without Faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6. "For by grace are ye saved through Faith; and that not of yourself; it is the gift of God; not of works lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2: 8-9. "as it is written, the just shall live by Faith." Romans 1:17. "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of God." 1 John 5:12-13. As you read God's Word you will find God has provided the way to come to know Him. Man must make the choice. "....Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life, no one can come to the Father except by me." John 14:6. "Jesus said to him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." Mark 9:23.

III. IN GRACE ALONE: "Let us therefore come bodly unto the throne of Grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16. "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." Romans 3:24. "But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they." Acts 15:11.

note: Grace is unmerited favor and is used in the New Testament in reference to God's redemptive love which acts to draw men to Him, and to preserve men in relationship with Him. Grace is unmerited favor received by Faith alone.

"And He said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: For my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Cor. 12:9.

John Wesley saw the light, that Salvation is solely of Grace, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done." Titus 3:5. or can do. Wesley saw and expressed these words: "Could my tears forever flow, could my zeal no languor know, these for sin could not atone; Thou must save, and thou alone; In my hand no price I bring, simply to thy cross I cling."

IV. IN CHRIST ALONE: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." 1 Tim. 2:5. Our prayers need to be directed through our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is the mediator between God and man. Jesus Christ alone atoned, suffered and made full satisfaction for all our sins. "For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.: Hebrews 10:14. "But if anyone sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the just; and he is the propitation for our sins;" 1 John 2: 1-2. "Neither is there Salvation in any other: For there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12. There is only one way to God, Those who try to approach God, or climb up some other way are Thieves and Robbers. John 10:1. "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:6. All our sins were laid on Jesus, think about this, the Lord Jesus paid the full penalty for all sin. "Whosoever will may come," but all who come to God must come God's way. "Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me." John 14:6. Remember another fact that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8. With Him "there is no variation or shadow of turning." James 1:17. "God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his son. He that hath the son hath life; and he that hath not the son hath not life." 1 John 5:12.

V. AND TO GOD ALONE BE THE GLORY: God does not change, He said, "I am the Lord, I do not change" Malachi 3:6, NKJV. He is from everlasting to everlasting; He has no beginning and no end. "God is Love." 1 John 4:8. "God is a consuming fire." Deut. 4:24. "All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made." John 1:3. "And I heard as it were the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: For the Lord God Omnipotent reigneth." Rev. 19:6. "And one cried unto another, and said, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, is the Lord of hosts: The whole earth is full of his glory." Isa. 6:3. "And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, and LORD OF LORDS." Rev. 19:l6. God as revealed in the book of Revelations is the "Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." Rev. 1:8. "All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made." John 1:3. "He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth. 1 Chr. 16:14. "O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finging out! Romans 11:33. "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." Joh 14:26. "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all." 2 Cor. 13:14. "it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe; 1 Cor. 1:21. "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power; for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Rev. 4:11. "And the Spirit and the bride say come, and let him that heareth say, come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will let him take the water of life freely. Rev. 22:17. God will make real to your hearts, this word as you study it. I said earlier that the Bible is non-negotiable Truth, May this truth Bless you all the days of your life and may you find in Him, in Jesus Christ, Life Eternal, now and forever more.

Something New

SOMETHING NEW will involve a study and commentary on the Scriptures. Each study will involve different books of the Bible with verse and chapter. The Topic or subject Topic will be changed every two months, or sooner as time is available. The study will be listed with book, chapter, verse, description, read each of the passages quoted including comments made. Other related Scriptures will be quoted with each study, and should make the original topic more understandable. Be certain to go to your Bible and check out all Scriptures quoted including related Scriptures. On occasion something new will involve something about the early church and what is happening within the church today.

THE CHURCH - GOD'S DWELLING PLACE!

Let us put this subjet in perspective, let us understand that a member of God's Church is the highest position a man or women can attain ever, surpassing that of President, King-Queen or even Emperor. The reason being that the moment we trusted in the sacrifice of our Saviour, God Almighty Himself forgave our sin, and to make sure that no one else will get hold of us from Him, He took up residence in us. "And I will pray the Father and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:16-17." Morever it is clear from the Word of God, that when God takes up residence in the believer, it is forever. "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Cir, 3:16-17." The Church is God's dwelling place, every believer is God's residence. God's Home. God's resting place. Remember! believer's are the Church.

CHURCH The following taken from "Why Modern Churches are carnal" "By JB Sparks"
Has someone ever said to you "Come visit my Church," or "May I come to your Church?" or "This is our Church." Common, right? Lets see how off base we are on this. The word "church" is mentioned 79 times, the word "churches" 36 times in the Bible, all in the New Testament, the Scriptures never say "your" church, "my" church, "our" church. It is not yours, or mine, or ours. It is HIS church. He died for it, purchased it, and it is His body, "And hath put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all, "Eph.1:22-23.

Not one time will you find a personal pronoun before church in the Bible except in Matt. 16:18 when Jesus says Upon this rock I will build MY church.

Not one time in 115 verses that the word "church" or "churches" is mentioned, will you find a personal pronoun referring to you or me before the words. It is not "your" church, "my" church, or "our" church. It is HIS Church. Its HIS body. Any adjectives or prepositional phrases before the words indicate that it belongs to Him. FACT-God doesn't miss anything or He doesn't get anything wrong. He is very consistent. It is "you", "I", and "others" that get off track.

FACT: REGARDING The Lords Supper- The Last Supper was a passover meal, Christ Blood was poured out for our sins at the cross. 1 Peter 2:24.

This bread and wine were typical or repesentative of His body and blood. His body had not yet been given, neither had His blood been shed. Therefore it is absurd to suggest that the symbols were miraculously changed into the realities. The Jewish people were forbidden to eat blood, and the disciples knew therefore that He was not speaking of literal blood, but of that which typified His Blood. The Lord's Supper is a memorial, in remembrance of our Master and Lord, the Lamb is slain no more; read Hebrews 10:14, For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified

RAPTURE

One clear fact is that Jesus Christ is God, who came the first time, as foretold by the prophets, was born of a virgin, her name was Mary, she was conceived with child by the Holy Ghost. We celebrate Christmas in remembrance of that event. We celebrate Easter in remembrance of His Death, Burial and Resurrection. He died for our sins, Jesus Christ is God's only provision for our sins, Jesus payed the full penalty for sin. If you have a problem understanding this go to the beginning of this web site, click on "Eternity", and read in its entirety, it will help to clarify this matter for you. After His Death on the Cross Jesus was taken up into heaven, "he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." Acts 1:9-12.

He will return in the same manner as he went. Jesus will come into the region of our atmosphere, "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." 1 Thes. 4:16-17.

This stage of Christ return is called the RAPTURE. The Rapture includes, the dead in Christ, and the living saints. The term Rapture is used by believers to describe this future event. Certain events and changes happen to believers when Christ comes for them, as the following Scripture explains. "Behold, I show you a mystery, we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible (the dead in Christ) must put on incorruption, and this mortal (the living saints) must put on immortality." 1 Corinthians 15:51-54.

What has happened here is that we put on a glorified body, this change will happen in a twinkling of an eye, at the last Trump. This glorified body will not corrupt or decay, "For this corruptible will put on incorruption." This natural body is now a spiritual body. The Rapture will be elective, not everyone will be part of this special event. Husbands will be separated from wives, so to brothers, sisters, friends, and the Saints will be separated from the unbelievers. Only the Bride of Christ will be part of this group. The Rapture will happen all over the world at the same time. When the trumpet sounds, no graves will be so deep but what the sound shall reach, and the dead in Christ shall hear the cry, it is the morning of the first Resurrection. That morning the air will be filled with the spirits of the dead in Christ, come back to earth to get their bodies, raised and glorified, this corruptible shall put on incorruption.

You might ask who are to be taken? Christ is coming after His bride, this is before the Tribulation, that in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye believers shall be instantly changed, putting on an immortal and incorruptible body. Here will be a company in the air, a great company of the ones who fell asleep in Jesus, and believers that are alive at this time. The Bridegroom cometh, are you waiting and watching?

Their are those who scoff at the idea of Christ coming soon. "But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." Matthew 24:36-37.

In Noah's time man was wicked, his wickedness was great in the earth, the earth was filled with violence. "When the Son of Man comes the earth will be wicked as it was in Noah's day." We have more violence and sin today then ever, we need to be looking and watching, for in such an hour as you know not, the Lord will return when we least expect Him.

The Rapture will be a surprise, and the most startling event of this age, and will occur in the twinkling of an eye all over the earth at the same time. "Watch therefore; for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready; for in such an hour as ye think not the SON OF MAN COMETH." Matthew 24:42-44. "But of the times and the season, brethern, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord (the day when Christ returns) so cometh as a thief in the night." 2 Thess. 5:2.

When Christ comes it will be, (as we mentioned before), when we are not expecting him. He will come as a thief, a thief does not announce his coming. A thief comes for a certain reason, he does not take everything in the house, he takes only the most precious things, he takes the jewels, gold, diamonds, etc. The thief moves very quickly, and departs very quickly after he secures what he is after. Jesus at the Rapture will come and take away the saints only, He will take the Bride of Christ, which are His most precious jewels. A thief leaves much more than he takes, and so the Lord will leave the wicked behind who will be left to go through the Great Tribulation.

Among those left behind will no doubt be some professing christians and ministers, while some who were not known to be christian will be missing.

[JUDGMENT FOR SIN-PERTAINING TO BELIEVERS] [JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST-PERTAINING TO BELIEVERS-FOR WORKS] [ISRAEL AND JERUSALEM]

The Second coming of Christ is the Blessed Hope, writing to Titus Paul Said; "Looking for that Blessed Hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." Titus 2;13. The Christian Hope is the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, it is a hope that Christ will return before the Christian dies, and he will be caught up to meet Him in the air. "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethern, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words." 1 Thess 4:13-18.

JUDGMENT FOR SIN-"PERTAINING TO BELIEVERS"

This Judgment is past, it was settled at the cross, at Calvary, Jesus Christ died, offering His shed blood, He paid the full penalty for sin. When we grasp this tremendous truth, we can say, "I do believe, I now believe That Jesus died for me; And through His blood, His precious blood, I am from sin set free! "Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, shall live unto righteousness." 1 Peter 2:24.
The Scriptures need no comment, they explain themselves. The death of Jesus Christ on Calvary completely and entirely fulfilled the law and answered every demand of a Holy God concerning our becoming righteous in His sight. Jesus died on the cross, and with His own shed blood He paid the full penalty for sin: "ONCE FOR ALL" Heb.7:27."Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation (judgment) but is passed from death unto life." John 5:24.
We see that believers will not be judged for sin. As soon as an unbeliever repents, and by faith believes the Gospel of Christ, that settles the sin question. If you are confused, and have questions go back to Home Page, click on Eternity, and read. If you still have question's fill free to "e-mail" me.

You may question the fact that you have seen Christians sin, this is sad but true. "If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." 1 John 1:10.
When a believer accidently sin's it must be put away immediately by repentance and confession, a believer does not practice sin. We do not abstain from sin because of the fear of the law; but we abstain from sin because of the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit in our heart. "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not, and if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." 1 John 2:1. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" 1 John 1:9.

If a believer fail's to confess his sins, the punishment is chastisement. Paul states "If we would Judge ourselves we should not be judged, but when we are judged we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned (judged) with the world." 1 Cor. 11:31-32. Our duties as believers when we accidently sin is to "Self Judge" ourselves daily, "Repent and confess our sins," and avoid the chastisement of our Heavenly Father.

THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST

This Judgment is for believers as to works. The result of this judgment is reward or loss. "We must all appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the things done in the body according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad (worthless)." 2 Cor. 5:10. In this chapter "WE" occurs 26 times, it means the believer, this epistle is addressed to believers. This judgment is not a trial to see if the judged are SAVED OR LOST, it is a judgment of the SAVED ONLY.
This is not a Judgment for Sin, but for works, this judgment is described as follows: "Other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; every man's work shall be made manifest; for the day (judgment day) shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire, and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built there upon he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned he shall suffer loss, but he himself shall be saved; yet so by fire." 1 Cor. 3:11-15. The result of this Judgment is "reward" or "loss". Our bad and dead works, represented by wood, hay and stubble, will be burn't up, only our good works will remain. There is much that is thought of as Christian service but, in fact, is human and secular, and does not count in our eternal reward.

A way to think of fire, imagine you awake in the night. The smell of smoke reaches your bedroom. Terror grips your spirit, you see tongues of flame reflected on the wall. Panic overtakes you, the kids! Then you hear the crackling sound, the house is full of fire! You race and awaken the family, you have just enough time to grab clothing and rush into the night. When everyone is outside, you feel some relief, but, what a sickening feeling to watch everything you own consumed before your eyes. Some Christians will be burned out at the Judgment Seat of Christ, the Scriptures say "he shall suffer loss"....yet so as by fire!" Some Christians will begin eternity completely wiped out by fire. No rewards! What will that be like?

These are saved people at this Judgment, "CHRISTIANS." The foundation for a Christians life is Christ. Lives can be built upon Christ with value and permanence-the other waste and futility. As we seen in the Scripture, fire determines the outcome. Notice the fire is applied only to the works, and not to the man himself. The man is not judged by the fire, only what he has built on the foundation, in other words, what he has done with his life in Christ.

All that a person does during his life on earth is not only examined and exposed, it is tested and weighed. That which survives the test (fire) is approved and remains as a good work for the Lord. That which goes up in smoke, is obviously a bad work. Some Christians will be shocked when they see how much of their lives has been wasted. The more waste (bad works) the bigger the bonfire. Keep in mind we are speaking of the believers works, not the man himself.
"If any man's work (life investment) which he has built upon it (the foundation of Christ) remains, he shall receive a reward. If any mans work is burned up, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved, yet so as through fire." 1 Cor. 3:14-15. When God's judgment fire is laid against a Christians Works, only what is left brings a reward. The rest is gone forever with no chance of a make-up class. If you are occupying with the things of the world you will lose your reward.

A frightening truth is that just getting inside heaven is not enough. Every Christian will give an account of his stewardship. "So then each one of us shall give an account of himself to God." Rom. 14:12. We are deceived if we think we can somehow avoid the consequences of a wasted life. "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap." Gal. 6:7.

For certain every Christian will be summoned to appear before God's Judgment Seat, the result will be gain or loss. "For we must all appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad." 2 Cor. 5:10.

We need to take the Lords admonition seriously for he states, "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroy, and where thieves do not break in or steal." Matthew 6:19-20. It is one thing to trust Christ for Salvation, and quite another to serve him as Lord.

At the Judgment Seat of Christ believers will receive rewards for their Works, the New Testament speaks of five different crowns that will be rewarded, not to spectators, but for those who earned them, they are as follows:
1. THE CROWN OF LIFE - This is a special reward for Martyrs and is mentioned twice. "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation (testing), for when he is tried (at the Judgment seat of Christ), he shall receive the Crown of Life which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him." James 1:12.
"Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer; behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried (tested) and ye shall have tribulation ten days; be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life." Rev. 2:10.
These believers were to remain faithful unto a martyrs death. This reference pertains to the seven year Tribulation Period.

2. THE CROWN OF GLORY - This crown is the Elders Crown that will be given when the Chief Shepherd shall appear. It is not for those who serve for filthy lucre or lord it over God's heritage.
"Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd shll appear, ye shall receive a Crown of glory that fadeth not away." 1 Peter 5:2-4.

3. THE CROWN OF REJOICING - This is the Soul Winners Crown that will be rewarded at His coming."For what is our hope, or joy, or Crown of Rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory an joy." 1 Thes. 2:19-20.

4. THE CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS - This is the Crown that goes to those who love his appearing, and to be given in that day to those waiting, watching, hoping for His soon return. "Henceforth there is laid up for me a Crown of Righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only but unto all them also that love his appearing." 2 Tim. 4:6.

5. THE CROWN INCORRUPTIBLE - This is the victors crown for those who keep under their body", who do not yield to their fleshly lusts, sex drugs, wordly pleasures. etc. "And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air; But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection; lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." 2 Cor. 9:25-27. Our desire should be, not to be ashamed at His coming, instead we have worked for the Lord to secure a Crown or plural Crown's. "And now little Children abide in Him; that when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed at His Coming." 1 John 2:28. Keep in mind that those who deserve a reward it will be the crowning day. The Judgment Seat of Christ will be taking place, while the Great Tribulation is occurring on the earth,

Preceding the Judgment Seat of Christ, or during that time frame, will be the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, "Rev. 19:7, Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. Verse 8, And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. Verse 9, And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. Verse 10, And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." We see the Bride of Christ, His chaste Bride at this Supper, Will you be a part of this gathering.

THE NEXT EVENT IS THE MANIFESTATION OF THE ANTICHRIST. "Then shall that wicked be revealed", whose short but diabolical reign brings upon the earth the greatest time of tribulation since there was a nation. WATCH THIS WEB PAGE FOR FUTURE STUDIES.

ISRAEL AND JERUSALEM

In order to understand the Tribulation as spoken of in Matthew:24;21, "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no nor ever shall be," we need to study prophecy and its importance during the tribulation period. For up to 4000 years or more there has existed a people, with customs and laws distinctively their own. This people have been oppressed and carried captive to other countries, actually scattered among all the nations, many times on the verge of annihilation. The Jews are remarkable as a people, no nation can trace back its lineage as far as they. Israel's glory existed before the beginning of most nations, the nation of Israel was organized, civilized, and established as a people long before Greece or Rome, and many centuries before anyone ever thought of searching for another continent. Nations have fallen, but the Jew has outlived all her conquerors. Dispersed among the nations for centuries, without a government, yet she has never been absorbed by the nations, and never lost her identity.

God has a plan for this earth and it is dependent upon His purpose, which includes events that will occur in Israel and Jerusalem. The present Biblical time period is known as "the times of the Gentiles." Luke 21:24, And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." Jerusalem has been under Gentile control since invaded by the Babylonian Army, except for short period's of time. "The time of the Gentiles will end when Messiah comes to defeat the Gentile Armies at Armageddon. Rev. 19: 11-16, And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he has a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." The Tribulation will come about because of Israel's rejection of the Messiah. The Tribulation, the seven year, seventieth week of Daniel, is a time of preparation for Israel's restoration and conversion. Deuteronomy 4:29 & 30; "But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; For the Lord thy God is a merciful God; he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them." Zechariah 12:10, "And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn." The Jew and Gentiles, and not the church will be affected by the tribulation, those affected will be those on the earth during this time, the church will already have been raptured. The Old Testament prophets speak of the Tribulation as "that day," and the "latter days," the prophet Joel calls it the "Day of the Lord." Joel 1:15, Alas for the day! for the day of the Lord is at hand." Joel 2:1, Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;" The time of the Tribulation then is after the Church has been "caught out", and during the reign of Anti-Christ on the earth.

After the Tribulation the Jewish people will be forever delivered from Gentile Rule. The Tribulation will remove wicked people from the earth in preparation for the Messianic Kingdom. All this climaxing at the battle of Armageddon, under King Messiah. Read Revelation, the entire Chapter 19.

Until 1948 the Jews who are the legal owners of Israel and who are dispersed throughout the nations have finally begun to return home, and in larger numbers as each year goes by. No people have ever had visible tokens of the divine presence as the Jews. The Red Sea was driven back for them Exodus 14:21-22, And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. and the Jordan was parted for them. Joshua 3:14-17, And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people; And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest. That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho. And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord stook firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan. A people miraculously fed in the Wilderness, Exodus 16:12-15, 12: I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God. 13: And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. 14: And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. 15: And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat. The Jew were divinely sheltered by the Pillar of cloud and fire: Exodus 13:21-22, 21: And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: 22: He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people. The walls of a city fell at the blowing of a rams horn: Joshua 6:5, 5: And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. The Sun and moon stayed in their courses so they might have time to slay their enemies: Joshua 10:12-14, 12: Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. 13: And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. 14: And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel. 2 Kings 19:35, 35: And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

The Jews have given to the world many great men, a man of faith such as Abraham, a leader and Law Giver such as Moses, and great statesmen like Joseph in Egypt, Daniel in Babylon, a King such as David, and wise men such as Solomon. From the Jew have come the Hebrew Prophets, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Daniel, Ezekiel and more importantly that man that has a name above every name, who in actuality is the Ancient of Days, The beginning and the End, the Mighty God, God Incarnate, The Lord Jesus Christ!

This people, the Jew, has been preserved down through history, which is the greatest miracle of all. One of the Emblems of the Jewish Race is a Bush Burning and unconsumed. Egyptian Pharoahs, Assyrian Kings, Roman Emperors, the Crusaders, Gothic princes, the inquisitioners, all devoted their energies to the fulfilment of the purpose of Jewish extermination. If the gas chambers at auschwitz could speak, they would tell how Jews were sent from all over Europe on Hitlers orders to solve the so called Jewish Problem. Six million Jews were brought and put to death in gas chambers, they were tortured by the most diabolical methods, still the Jew remains, his preservation the miracle of history. No other people have suffered so much and survived so triumphantly.

No people can blot out the Jew. Babylonian Captivity could not. Roman domination could not, modern massares could not, the ghetto could not. The Jews have been stoned, whipped, tortured, robbed, burned, enslaved, buried alive. Jews have been persecuted and killed in England 1264, Germany in 1298, again in Germany in 1356, in Nazi Germany 1940's in Spain in 1492 which is the same year Columbus discovered America. Under all these circumstances and many more they still survived.

Hatred of the Jew is of the Devil, Satan Despises the Jew, the reason being the Jew is important to the future and very much in the promises of God.

We owe the Jewish people a great debt for out of them came the Bible, out of them came great men of God. The Jews were raised up to reaffirm, and teach that there is one God. The Jews were the writers, transmitters, and preservers of the Holy Scriptures. To them were committed the "Oracles of God." Romans 3: 1 & 2. Every page and book of the Bible was written by a Jew. The Jewish race was raised up that God through them might give the world a Saviour. Jesus was a Jew! 412 years after the flood, God called Abraham, a Shunite, from Ur of the Caldees, to be the Father of a new nation. Gen. 12:1-3, 1: Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. No where in the Bible has this promise been revolked, God's promises to Abraham were a continuous process, the promises at Ur were regarding the land and that Abraham's seed should become a great nation. At Shecham the ownership of the land was promised to Abraham and his descendants. Genesis 12:7, 7: And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him. Again At Bethel: Gen. 13:15-16, 15: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. 16: And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. And yet again at Mamre: Gen. 15:18, 18: In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: And still again the promise was made at Moriah: Genesis 22:16-17, 16: And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 17: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

The next great event for the Jew was the Exodus with Moses sent to deliver them. They wondered in the wilderness for 40 years until under the leadership of Joshua, they crossed the Jordan and entered the promised land and took possession of it. The Jew through time were subject to different conquerors, but governed by rulers of their own race in fulfillment of the prophecy that the Sceptre should not depart from Judah until Shiloh Come.

The Lord Jesus Christ, a Jew, was born in the city of Bethlehem, David's home, of a Jewish mother. A descendant of the tribe of Judah, He never left the confines of Palestine. Jesus spoke the Hebrew dialect of his day. Jewish friend, this Jesus whom Christians adore is "bone of your bone, and flesh of your flesh." We observe the Lords supper, whose origin goes back to the last Passover feast which Jesus observed with His disciples, and which He commanded us to remember Him by the bread and wine of the Passover Table. So long as Christianity shall stand we will continue to observe this rite which commemorates to us, both the Jews deliverance from bondage of Egypt, and our deliverance from the penalty of Sin, through our Jewish Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ! If I were a Jew, I would honestly give thought to the message of the Messiah and the gospel of Christ, Romans 1:16, "For it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek." The Jewish people and all who are not Jews need to lay hold upon the great truth that centuries and centuries of history do not culminate in a coincidence and that the prophecies of the Old Testament do culminate in Jesus Christ.

The Jew's have rejected Christ and many Christians have disgraced Him. Both the Jew and the Gentile need to consider the claims of Jesus, and do as the Bible tells you to do, Luke 13:5, Jesus said, "I tell you, nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Acts 26:31 "BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." When you repent and believe the Gospel the Word of God tells us the Gospel "is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes." We don't negotiate the gospel with God, we either believe it or reject it. The Gospel is a two edged sword. The Bible states "He that believeth on the son hath everlasting life." Also this same verse further states "and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." John 3:36. If you need further information on the subject of believing go back to the beginning of this web site and click on ETERNITY.

In AD 70 the Roman Armies came, Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed by Titus, at this time the Jews were scattered among the nations of the earth.

The modern state of Israel was born in 1948 and is an important sign before the Judgment of the Tribulation.Isaiah 11:11-12, 11: And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 12: And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. This Scripture speaks of Israel's regathering in preparation for a coming Judgment. Note that in this Scripture where it says "that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people." The question is: When was the first time? It was the Babylonian Captivity. Jeremiah 16:14-15, 14: Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; 15: But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

We see another sign of the times! Jerusalem! The current occupation by Israeli Jews, since 1967 sets the stage for prophecies that will take place during the Tribulation. Zechariah 12:2-3, 2: Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. 3: And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. We see in our day many problems involving Jerusalem, and the nations of the world, as well as those surrounding Jerusalem. Some nations view Jerusalem as the source of their problems. There are nations who wish to internationalize and legislate its future, those attempting to do this will find disaster at some point or another, as God's Judgment will fall heavy upon them.

Jerusalem is the city to watch as more and more attention is focused on her. As we see these end time events happening, we need to be watchful.

Psalm 83:3-5, 3: They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. 4: They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. 5: For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
Psalm 79:1, 1: O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.
Isaiah 59:20, 20: And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
Zechariah 14:4, 4: And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
Revelations 22:20, 20: He which testifieth these things saith, surely I come quicklky. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

ETERNITY

Eternity! Where will you Spend it?

Earlier, under the heading "A LEARNING EXPERIENCE" it was mentioned that "Heaven is exclusive," you have read from your Bible which teaches that "nothing will enter it that defiles." Rev. 21:27. If Heaven is exclusive, what happens to those who don't go to Heaven? The Scriptures tell us "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murders, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimestone; which is the second death." Rev. 21:8. We see from God's Word there is a hell"....a place of separation from God which includes punishment. Your first question should be, Why will people go to hell? The reason being "there is none righteous, no not any, there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; There is none that doeth good, no, not one." Romans 3:10-12. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23. We learn as we study further in God's Word that the "Wages of sin is death," Roman 6:23. What will save us from the Wages of Sin that we justly deserve? YOU CANNOT SAVE YOURSELF! "Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:9. Our best isn't good enough," ....We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags." Isaiah 64:6.

GOD DOES NOT WANT YOU TO GO TO HELL! "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish (go to hell), but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9. GOD HAS MADE A PROVISION TO SAVE US FROM HELL. "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;" 1 Timothy 1:15. "Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12. We therefore see that the only provision for our sin, and that can save us from hell is Jesus Christ.

THE BLOOD OF CHRIST--"The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin." 1 John 1:7. A GIFT FROM GOD, UNDESERVED, NOT OF SELF--BUT FAITH IN CHRIST. "For by grace are ye saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;" Ephesians 2:8. Jesus said, "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13: 5. Paul also states that "repentance toward God and Faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ, Luke 13:5 are both necessary. "BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." Acts 26:31. A person gives nothing for a free gift, this free gift is given to a person by God when God places that person in Christ Jesus. You cannot give anything that will save you from your sins, Galatian's 1:4 says, "Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father." If God gives us a free gift, that means you do not give anything to be saved. When a lost person is taught to "give his life to Jesus" to be saved, he could get the wrong impression and think he has to give his service, time, works, money etc to be saved, this leads a person into a works gospel. A person is saved by God's grace alone, and nothing else, again the Scripture reads "For by Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9. A person is saved by Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ, Salvation is accomplished by God's Grace alone. It is His Free Gift through Faith alone. When full Credit is given to God and His Grace, when his word which is powerful is used, He saves.

REPENTANCE----"These times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent." Acts 17:30. "not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?" Romans 2:4. We see that God leads us to repentance. "godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation." 2 Cor. 7:10. Jesus, while speaking to His Apostles says "that repentance and remission of sin, should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." Luke 24:47. We are called to repentance, but what is it? When we repent It means that we realize we are nothing and deserve the full punishment of God. It means to change one's mind for the better, to desire to turn away from all sin, with all your heart, and trust in Jesus Christ to Save you. We are totally helpless, "we are all as an unclean thing, all our righteousness are as filthy rags." Isaiah 64:6. God will save you when you repent, believe and Trust Jesus Christ. "The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord;" Romans 6:23.

YOU CAN MAKE A DECISION FOR JESUS CHRIST NOW...."behold now is the accepted time, behold now is the day of salvation." 2 Cor. 6:2. Prayers of any sort will not save. "belief in the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation unto everyone that believes." Romans 1:16 Prayer as found in most gospel tracts will not save you, although this can help us to confess with the mouth what one already believes in the heart. Prayer or no Prayer if you repent and believe the Gospel of Christ in your heart, then you are already saved. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13. "that if thou shalt confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thy shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10. "Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the time of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord." Acts 3:19. We don't negotiage the gospel with God, we either believe it or reject it. The Gospel is a two edged sword. The Bible states "He that believeth on the son hath everlasting life." Also this same verse further states "and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." John 3:36. If you do not repent and believe the Gospel, no matter what good works you accomplish, you are eternally lost. Instead of works, the gospel requires faith, "It is the power of God unto salvation to those who believe." Rom. 1:16.

"The Word of God teaches instant Salvation," In Acts 16:27-31 we see Paul and Silas in the city of Philippi and at midnight they sang and prayed until God broke down all the doors and broke the stocks which held their feet with a mighty earthquake. The jailer, frightened and convicted of his sins, came to these two preachers, and asked the question, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved? and they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Acts 16:30-31. The question asked was "What must I do to be saved?" again "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved!" That is God's plan of salvation, it's the only plan He has for you and me, and includes every person born in this world. I don't mean to simply believe there is a God or a Saviour, the devil believes and trembles. James 2:19. You are to repent and believe on Him, depend upon Him, Trust Him; when you do, you are saved. The thief on the cross was saved immediately, no where in the Bible was anyone ever told to wait, SALVATION is instantaneous.

God knows all about you including the innermost workings of your heart, He knows the sin that has had damaging effects on your life. Sin enslaves, He wants you to be set free. Jesus said "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32. When by our own free will we turn away from sin, repent and turn to Jesus and believe, God will set you free. The only thing that keeps you from being saved is the wickedness of your heart that holds on to sin and keeps you from trusting Jesus Christ for Salvation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16. You are not saved by feeling; You are saved by trusting in Christ. Come by Faith to the Saviour today, "Repent and Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." Remember as we mentioned previously that Jesus Christ is God's only provision for man's sin, He died in our place, therefore we must receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." John 2:12. Christ is speaking: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him." Rev. 3:20. If it's your desire to be saved, speak to God from your heart repent of your wickedness and believe the gospel of Christ, "for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13. Your authority is God's word, and not your feelings, Repent and believe His word, depend on it. As a result Christ will save you and your spirit will know, "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God;" Romans 8;16. "LOVE SO AMAZING, SO DIVINE, DEMANDS MY HEART, MY LIFE, MY ALL." "LOVE SO AMAZING, SO DIVINE, SHALL HAVE MY HEART, MY LIFE, MY ALL."

BAPTISM - ITS IMPORTANCE

God expects, as a first requirement, all who have repented, believed, and received Christ be baptized.
Anyone that desire's to follow in the footsteps of their Saviour, need to do as Christ did,"Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan," Mark 1:9. The Corinthians believed and were Baptized, "and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized." Acts 18:8.
"Then they that gladly Received His word were baptized."Acts 2:41.

A man of Ethiopia, an eunuch was returning, and sitting in his chariot reading the prophet Esaias, and Philip hearing him asked him if he understood, and at which time Philip sat with him and preached Jesus, and he believed and the eunuch states: "What doth hinder me to be baptized? and Philip said, If thou Believest with all thou heart, thou mayest." Acts 8:36-37.

Before we go any deeper into the study of the ordinance of Baptism we should understand that Baptism does not save. To those who use Baptism for this reason, God's word speaks forth a resounding rebuke: "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost." Titus 3:5.
God is emphatic, we are saved by grace through faith in His Son. "For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9. Water does not cleanse your sins, sin is cleansed only by the blood of His Son. "In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins," Col. 1:14. "Without the shedding of blood (there) is no remission." Hebrews 9:22. Baptism in no way is essential for the salvation of the soul.

You may question, What is Baptism? It is a Burial! Sprinkling won't do, God's command is to be completely buried, immersed under water. Therefore we are Buried with Him (Jesus) by baptism unto death." Rom. 6:4. "Buried with him (Jesus) in Baptism." First Part of Col. 2:12. Baptism is a "PICTURE STORY." It reminds us of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus for our sins. "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day." 1 Cor. 15:3-4. "you were buried with Him in Baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead." Col. 2:12.

Baptism in the early Church was by immersion, and it's still done that way today in Bible believing churches. "they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him, and when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip." Acts 8:38-39. Why Immersion? Because Baptism symbolizes the believer's identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection, and is a declaration that you will also be raised in the last day, when the trump of God calls His children home.

In order not to cause any confusion I'll repeat myself, Baptism does not save, Baptism is necessary to a confession of OBEDIENCE. I'll repeat, YOU NEED TO OBEY. When you received Christ, when you BELIEVED, when you REPENTED of your sins you were saved by faith thru grace, born of the Spirit of God, already saved before Baptism.

We see the Symbolisim of Baptism represents Christ's death, burial and Resurrection, it also bears witness of an actual death to ones old unregenerated life, and to the resurrection of a new life in Christ. By being Baptized we declare that we can be counted on to be a follower of Christ and indicates this to the community.
Baptism should not be regarded lightly, a person should be baptized as soon as possible after receiving Christ, the process of discipleship as given in the Great Comnmission is teaching, baptizing and observing continually all that Jesus had commanded. (Matt. 28:19-20) Baptism is necessary to a confession of obedience.

Baptism enables you to enter into the Joy that awaits you in serving the Lord. Jesus wants you to obey Him. God Speaks to you through His word, He lives in your heart and speaks to the inner man, you might hear him say: "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

You should want him to be pleased with you, if that is the case obey and enter into the Joy of the Lord.

THE LORD'S SUPPER-ITS IMPORTANCE

The Lord's Supper was instituted on that night when Jesus and His disciples met to eat the passover. "And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover." Matthew 26:19.
Jesus taking one of the unleavened cakes used at the Passover feast, breaking it and giving it to His disciples with the Cup. The Disciples were impressed with the words which had given a new meaning to the bread and wine. The bread and wine had been looked upon as memorials of the deliverance from Egypt. They were now told to partake of them "in remembrance" of their Master and Lord. These words "this is my body" Matthew 26:26. gave to the unleavened bread a new character, as also did the words "this is my blood" Matthew 26:28, reminds us of the wonderful prophecy in Jer. 31:31-34, in which the new covenant had been foretold. "this do in remembrance of me" 1Cor.11:24-25. we see this to be a memorial of the one we wish never to forget. This command is binding on all who believe in Christ, we are to obey this command until Christ comes for His bride at the rapture. "For as often as ye eat this bread and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lords death till he come." 1Cor.11:26.

The Scriptures teach that Jesus Christ asked to be remembered, "Do this in remembrance of me." Luke 22:19. Jesus wanted believers to call to mind the work of salvation on the cross, and the bread and wine are symbols of his body and blood, and we are to proclaim the Lords death until he comes. 1 Corinthians 11:26. The Lord's Supper is a Memorial Feast that looks back to the "cross" and forward to the "coming".

The Lord's Supper is a pledge of mutual love and loyalty, to be continued until the Lord Jesus comes again, a betrothal pledge left to the church during the absence of her betrothed. The Lords Supper is for believers only, and we need to come to the Lord's Supper with sin previously confessed and forsaken, restitution should be made, apologies offered to those we offended, we should be in a proper state of soul. This time is a precious and sacred time, meaningful only when we obey God and do as the Scriptures Command.

While Baptism is a one time act of obedience by a believer, the Lords Supper is to be observed regularly on the Lords Day. 1 Cor. 11:25-26 says "as oft as you do this" seems to indicate this should be done with frequency. As believers partake of the symbols of the Lord's Supper we should meditate on the meaning of Christ's death, burial and resurrection, the bread signifies His body given, the cup His blood shed. He gave himself for us when he died on the cross, He took our place and took upon himself all our sin, it is a time of praise and thanksgiving to God for what He did for us.

It should go without saying that the bread and wine were typical or representative of his body and blood.

Jesus was the true Passover Lamb whose blood was shed for the remission of sin, for the salvation of all who would trust in Him. When we partake of the Lord's Supper we do this as a memorial, in remembrance of our Master and Lord, the Lamb is slain no more. "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right side of God." Hebrews 10:12. "For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified." Hebrews 10:14.
