My wife and I were hiking on North Fork Mountain in July when I took this photograph. We were staying at the North Fork Mountain Inn located on the Forest Service road running from Cabins to Upper Tract. The North Fork Mountain Trail is considered by many to be the best trail in West Virginia and one of the very best in the East. Backpacker magazine said it had "the best mountain scenery in the East".
